Santander is Milton Keynes’ largest employer and is investing in their long-term future in the area through the development of the Digital Hub. This landmark new workplace is part of the bank’s strategy to adapt to changing technology and will bring together their 6,000 employees who are currently spread across four offices in Milton Keynes.

The site

The Digital Hub is located in Central Milton Keynes on land bound by Elder Gate, Midsummer Boulevard, Grafton Gate and Silbury Boulevard . The site is a former car park and is located close to the train station.

The campus will blur the boundaries between corporate and public realm by encouraging the local community into the new building to use a range of public amenities.

Overview

Santander has appointed a multidisciplinary team to deliver the Digital Hub. The team comprises developer Osborne+Co, architects LOM architecture and design, engineers WSP, planning consultants Deloitte, project and cost managers Turner & Townsend, landscape architects Murray Associates and lighting design by Lightivity.

Planning permission was granted for the development in July 2019 and the project will start on site in October 2019. The Digital Hub is anticipated to open in 2022.

The world class Digital Hub will consolidate Santander’s offices within Milton Keynes to create a new campus for 6,000 employees.
